Multi-Channeled campaigns
People consume information differently. It is vital to recognize the demographic and socio-economic differences in the Somali context (i.e: low literacy levels, nomadic/rural vs. urban, internet access etc). We use a mixture of different communication channels, to effectively reach audience. These channels including broadcast, print, digital, outdoor, new and traditional media and offline outreach events. We determine the right channels through an intensive audience analyses in combination with our in-depth understanding of the context.
Community Focused
We listen to people’s needs, take a community focused approach and use creative designs and technology to solve the most critical problems and produce tailor made campaigns which are result oriented. All our media campaigns are locally contextualized and are aligned to specific local norm, languages and behaviours. We work closely with our media partners. We believe that together, we can inform and educate the public more effectively. Our Hirad network consist of 35 radio stations, and 12 TV stations. Through the Hirad Network we are able to disseminate campaigns in the most remote areas through trusted media channels.

This makes it possible to measure the effect of our campaigns. We have developed unique systems to communicate with our audience. Our URview system integrates mobile SMS technology with IVR (Interactive Voice Response)
